Information

One of the most important squares in Belo Horizonte, Liberty Square was chosen at the end of the 19th century to be the administrative centre of the state of Minas Gerais.
Today it is a beautiful place, surrounded by green areas and gardens. Around the square, you can see some historic buildings, which make up the ” Liberty Square Cultural Circuit”. The circuit is made up of ten different cultural spaces that integrate art, popular culture, knowledge, and entertainment.

Information

It comprises the monuments around the Pampulha Lagoon: Casa do Baile, the former Casino building, the Yacht Club, and the Church of St Francis. Their designs were drawn up by the architect Oscar Niemeyer and they were built in the early 40s.

In 2016, the Pampulha Architectural Complex was recognized by the United Nations (UN) as a World Heritage Site.

At SKEMA Business School’s Belo Horizonte campus, students have access to different accommodation options such as Mercure Lourdes, Ramada Lourdes, Mercure Savassi, Novotel Savassi, Ibis Budget Savassi, and Roayl Golden Savassi. These hotels provide students with special prices and are close to bus stops and the campus.

For those who do not want to stay in a hotel,  the Student Office provides information and advice to find the best location off-campus.

One of the largest open-air museums in the world.
Located close to Belo Horizonte, Inhotim has 140 hectares for visitors to enjoy, combining art and nature.
Around 1,862 works by more than 280 artists make up the collection and are exhibited outdoors and in galleries amidst a Botanical Garden with more than 4,300 rare botanical species.

Located at Avenida do Contorno, in the heart of Savassi, a vibrant area in the city, the campus is integrated into the digital hub of the city’s innovation ecosystem.
The building has an ecological design and uses materials and devices that contribute to reducing the impact on the environment: ventilation, LED lighting, conscious water consumption, noise control, recycling, selective sorting, etc.
In addition to a technological infrastructure that facilitates the hybridisation of SKEMA’s global education (auditorium, video wall, touch screen, video studio, etc.), the campus also has co-working and collaboration spaces.
